Grandparents love their Grandchildren!  Maybe you’ve been as excited about a new grandson or granddaughter as I was and did things that would surprise you now.  Lots of grandparents are going the extra mile for their grandchildren – from taking that extra trip to visit, spending the extra time holding a baby, or taking more pictures than you have in years!  I found these numbers showing some statistics of grandparents loving their grandchildren interesting:

• 72% think being a grandparent is the single most important and satisfying thing in their life 

• 63% say they can do a better job caring for grandchildren than they did with their own 

• 68% think being a grandparent brings them closer to their adult children 

• 90% enjoy talking about their grandkids to just about everyone
